The Henderson County Education Foundation has commissioned local artist, Carolyn DeMorest Serrano, to draw pen and ink drawings of each of the Henderson County schools. These special and unique drawings can be obtained through the Foundation, Carolyn Serrano, or the Mountain Lore Bookstore, 408 N. Main Street. About the artist: Carolyn Serrano is a local artist whose pen and ink artworks have drawn acclaim and interest in Western North Carolina. Carolyn has recently been given a commission to draw other buildings to be displayed at Blue Ridge Community College. Carolyn is an amazing teacher who works very well with children (and adults). She has taught classes at the Historic Johnson Farm for several years.
