A candidate must qualify in one of the following categories:

      1. Teachers and/or Administrators
      2. Support Personnel
      3. Other Contributors

• All nominees must have been deceased or retired for at least   five years.

• All nominees must have served the public schools of Henderson   County at least 10 years (if applicable).

• Hall of Fame brochures will be available by July 1.

• Any individual or group may nominate a candidate in any   category until the September 30 deadline.

• The HCEF History Committee will screen all nomination forms   and submit them to a Selection Committee.

• The HCEF Selection Committee will select no more than 10   inductees and no fewer than five for the year of 2003. In the   ensuing years no more than five and no fewer than two will be   selected for the Hall of Fame honor.

• The Board of Directors shall host a recognition event in May   each year. Honorees or family representatives will receive an   award plaque and a congratulatory letter. A framed picture of   the recipient will be displayed at the foundation Office. Media   coverage will announce the recipients of the Hall of Fame   honorees.
